Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi → Gaya (990 km)
Your spiritual adventure begins at Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station at 13:00 hrs. Board the Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train and depart at 14:30 hrs. Relax and enjoy dinner onboard as you head towards Gaya overnight.


Day 2: Gaya → Bodhgaya (16 km)
Wake up to a serene morning with tea and breakfast onboard. Upon reaching Gaya, transfer to Bodhgaya, check into your hotel, and unwind. Visit the Mahabodhi Temple and other significant temples. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 3: Bodhgaya → Nalanda → Rajgir → Gaya → Varanasi
After breakfast, journey to Rajgir to visit Bimbimsara Jail and Gridhakut Hill. Proceed to Nalanda to explore the ancient university ruins and its museum. Return to Gaya and board the train to Varanasi, enjoying dinner en route.


Day 4: Varanasi → Sarnath → Nautanwa
Arrive in Varanasi early morning and have breakfast on board. Visit Sarnath, where Buddha gave his first sermon. In the evening, witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti. Return to the train and travel to Nautanwa with dinner onboard.


Day 5: Nautanwa → Lumbini (Nepal)

Day 7: Balrampur → Sravasti → Agra
Arrive in Balrampur early morning and transfer to Sravasti, one of Buddha’s prominent teaching grounds. After exploring Jetvana Vihara, return to Balrampur and board the train to Agra. Dinner served onboard.


Day 8: Agra → Delhi
Visit the world-famous Taj Mahal in the early morning. After sightseeing, return to the train for lunch and evening tea. Arrive back at Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station, completing your enlightening journey.
